The locking strip that runs down the edge of a uPVC and composite door is called a “multi-point lock” or MPL for short. After many years of use this MPL will wear out. Sometimes the first you know about this is when the door will not open or not lock at all. If this happens, I will replace the broken parts “like for like” and the door will operate like new again.
